Last week, we had the opportunity to be part of one of the largest B2B marketing conferences in Asia-Pacific. The B2B Marketing Leaders Forum APAC highlighted the various challenges and opportunities facing modern B2B marketers, from AI to brand strategies and more.
Let’s dive into our key learnings from Down Under — and prove we didn’t just go for the Tim Tams!
About The Event
The B2B Marketing Leaders Forum APAC took place over two days on the 21st and 22nd of May 2025 at Doltone House, located along the iconic Sydney Harbour. Organised by the Australia-based B2B Marketing Leaders Forum Pty Ltd, the event celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and is widely known as the country’s premier B2B marketing conference.
Marketing representatives from global companies across the APAC region participated. The forum also holds events in Singapore and Melbourne, acting as a key platform for sharing insights tailored to regional marketing challenges.

How We Joined the Conversation
With a presence in Singapore, we saw this year’s event as the perfect opportunity to participate as sponsors, hosting a booth and delivering a featured session.
During the event, we showcased selected case studies that highlighted our B2B marketing efforts and campaigns tailored to the Asian market. Our on-site consultants provided personalised advice to attendees, many of whom were interested in expanding into Japan and South Korea, highlighting our position as trusted experts in these markets.

On day two, we held a session titled “Targeting Asia and Japan,” discussing effective marketing strategies in Asia, particularly in Japan and South Korea. The panel featured QIC’s Marc Joshi and Ed Lee from ResMed, moderated by our Global Business Director, Michelle Tennoudji.
Marc Joshi emphasised the importance of building long-term, trust-based relationships when entering the Japanese market. He noted that Japan differs culturally and in its decision-making processes compared to other Asian countries, placing more value on ongoing partnerships than rapid growth. The session also sparked many questions from the audience regarding risk management and market selection across Asia, reflecting strong interest in the topic.

How GenAI is Transforming Digital Marketing
Among the many sessions, a keynote by Australian tech giant Canva stood out.
Canva addressed how the rise of genAI is making traditional owned media content harder to engage with, quickly stressing the growing importance of quick turnarounds in delivering video content. Strategies discussed included shortening production timelines while personalising videos for different users, and using behaviour-based triggers (like re-engagement after user drop-off) to retain attention, emphasising a UX-driven approach. Canva also introduced efforts to make video creation accessible to anyone, a move that could significantly boost brand recognition and engagement in the B2B space.
Beyond Canva’s keynote, other sessions explored advanced AI applications — from video production and data cleansing to pipeline optimisation and multilingual content localisation. Companies are navigating challenges like content short-forming, real-time optimisation, and privacy compliance while adopting realistic, scalable AI-powered solutions. We’ve unpacked more of these insights in our latest blog post — dive in if you’re curious about where AI is heading next.
Our Takeaways
The B2B Marketing Leaders Forum APAC proved to be a goldmine of insights for global companies targeting the APAC region. Themes such as genAI, video marketing, and trust-based strategies are now essential to future B2B success. In particular, balancing speed and precision in AI usage, along with developing localisation strategies for diverse markets like Japan, offers valuable direction for marketers across industries.
